Free baler trial became indispensable

Fashion by Strand experienced rapid growth, and with the increase in the number of orders came a rising amount of cardboard waste. An area of the warehouse was dedicated to the many cardboard boxes and took up space that should really have been used for stock and packing stations. It was taking up space, creating clutter, posing a safety risk, and was a time thief.

A solution was needed, and when they came across the opportunity to try a Bramidan cardboard baler for 30 days, they seized it. It quickly became clear to Christina Paulsen, director at Fashion by Strand, that the yellow machine had become an indispensable part of their workflow.
On day 31, the machine was still there. The trial period was over, and the company chose to invest in the cardboard baler – an investment that would prove to be of great benefit to both the company and the employees.

In addition to the time they saved, Fashion by Strand also gained more space in the warehouse. The many cardboard boxes are now compact cardboard bales ready for collection. The cardboard baler has resulted in visibly increased efficiency, but has also been cost-saving in terms of fewer collections of cardboard waste.
“There is no doubt that we have been incredibly happy with our B20. In fact, we have been so pleased that we have now ordered its big brother to further increase efficiency,” says Christina Paulsen.
